“Drive 4 Life”: December 5th

The Traffic Bureau is proud to present its “Drive 4 Life” teen driver safety program Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. This program is designed for young drivers who have a license as well as those who are about to get one. Our goal is to provide a FREE service to our community by educating our young drivers and their parents in an effort to promote traffic safety on our roadways and to prevent fatal traffic collisions. Charter & District Exploratory Study Sessions

The City Council established a Charter/District Exploratory Committee to investigate and study city charters and election districts to determine whether either should be created for Corona. The subcommittee has been working closely with the selected consultant for this project, National Demographics Corporation (NDC). NDC has been leading and moderating discussions with the Charter/District Exploratory Committee, members of the public and City staff, to educate them on the advantages and disadvantages of election districts vs. at-large elections and charter vs. general law forms of government. Great Art Heist Auction

In the spirit of Sotheby’s, The Arts Colony at Corona Heritage Park will be hosting The Great Art Heist Auction.  Fine Art by the region’s best artists will be placed up for auction, with starting bids at such a steal, they might have to be called the “Coppers.”  All proceeds of the artist donated pieces will go directly to supporting The Arts Colony and their ongoing community programs, education, and gallery. It is Time for a Pupgrade!

The City of Corona Animal Services & Shelter is seeking your help in upgrading the shelter dog beds.  Kuranda dog beds give the shelter dogs a much needed lift with the orthopedic support and off-the-floor comfort.  Dogs are kept cool in summer months because of the air circulation underneath the bed and are warmer in winter months due to the beds and blankets being lifted off of the floor.  The cot-style bed is a relief for dogs joints and are easy to clean for shelter personnel. Free Waste-Tire Recycling Collection Event

The City of Corona and the Orange County Conservation Corps are hosting a waste tire collection event on Saturday, December 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Corona’ s City Hall,  400 S. Vicentia Avenue. Residents are welcomed and encouraged to stop by and recycle their waste tires. Read More >>
