Jason Scott, Mayor Pro Tem

Jason Scott was elected to the Corona City Council in 2008 and elected as Mayor Pro Tem on November 29, 2011. Mayor Pro Tem Scott currently serves on the Public Services Committee and represents the City at the Riverside Transit Agency (RTA). Prior to being elected to the Council, he spent six years on the City's Planning Commission.

Mr. Scott moved to Corona in 1968 and graduated from Corona Senior High School a few years later. He has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, a California Life Teaching Credential, and a California Administrative Credential.  He and his wife Dee have two daughters, Sharlynn and Cherise, and three grandchildren. 

Mr. Scott has worked for the Corona-Norco Unified School District for over 30 years and as a school administrator for the last 20.  He is currently Principal of Lincoln Alternative Elementary School.

Mr. Scott is extremely active in a number of community organizations and serves as a board member of the Friends of the Corona Public Library, Corona-Norco Management Association, Corona Fire Safety Foundation, and Corona-Norco United Way.  Additionally, he is a member of the Riverside Superior Court Community Committee as well as the Corona-Riverside Navy League, Corona Elks, and the Corona Historical Preservation Society.
