Council Member Karen Spiegel

Council Member Karen Spiegel was elected to her first term on the Corona City Council in 2002 and served as Mayor in 2006 and again in 2010. She currently serves on the Healthy Community Committee and the Public Services Committee. Council Member Spiegel also represents the Council on the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC), Executive Committee for the League of California Cities- Riverside Division, Riverside Orange County Authority (ROCA), and the State Route 91 Advisory Committee.  

A resident for over twenty-five years, Council Member Spiegel is an active member of the Corona community and the owner of a local e-commerce/publishing company. Council Member Spiegel has been involved in numerous business, civic and community activities, including the Corona Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International, PTA, Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV), Trauma Intervention Program (TIP), UNITY Board, Corona Fire Safety Foundation Board, the Foundation for Community and Family Health, Congregation Beth Shalom, and  the Woman's Improvement Club. Council Member Spiegel has been honored for her community service with several awards including being named the "Woman of the Year 2009" by Senator John Benoit.  

Council Member Spiegel, and her husband Bobby, have five children and one grandchild. She graduated from the California State University in Long Beach and did her graduate studies at Pepperdine University, receiving a Masters Degree and holds a Marriage Family Counseling (MFC) license.
