The Parks & Recreation Commission is comprised of five members, all of whom shall be residents of the City and shall not hold any paid office or employment with the City. Members serve four-year terms. Each Council member appoints one member to serve concurrently with his/her term of office. Each member of the Commission shall receive fifty dollars for each regular monthly meeting attended, not to exceed fifty dollars per month. The Commission shall act in an advisory role to the City Council and make recommendations to the City Council concerning recreation programs, maintenance and operation of the public park system and the planting, care and removal of trees within the parkways.
