Records Section

The Records Section is a vital function of the Corona Police Department in providing service to the community at the Records Front Counter and by telephone. In addition to assisting the public, Police Records Technicians are responsible for the storage, maintenance, and retrieval of all crime reports, traffic accident reports, vehicle reports and arrest reports.
The Records Section is open Monday – Thursday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We encourage the public to call our department at (951) 736-2330 before visiting, if possible, in order to double check and confirm all necessary materials needed for a particular service, and to make sure the proper personnel is available to process the service you are requesting. Some services may be limited to certain days/hours of the week, and/or available by appointment only.

Prescription Drug Drop-Box Program:

Unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs have been determined to present substantial risks to our community by either falling into the wrong hands, or by damaging our environment through improper disposal. It is this awareness that has resulted in the Corona Police Department and other participating law enforcement agencies to provide a safe alternative method to dispose of unwanted pharmaceuticals.

A secure pharmaceutical drug collection drop-box is located inside the police department lobby. Community members are now welcome to turn in anonymously any unwanted medications. Loose medication needs to be put into plastic baggies and then deposited. Syringes cannot be placed in the drop box under any circumstances. This creates a hazardous situation for our evidence personnel. Once collected, evidence personnel will ensure that the medication is disposed of in accordance with State and Federal laws.
