The Corona Police Department presents "Drive 4 Life", a FREE driver education program designed for young drivers and their parents. The goal of the program is to promote traffic safety on our roadways by educating participants on the 4 most common factors that lead to fatal accidents involving young drivers: speeding, driving under the influence, seatbelts, and street racing. Begin the holiday season with the City of Corona's annual holiday lighting celebration on Sunday, December 6th 5-8PM in the City Hall South Plaza (400 S. Vicentia Ave). This year's program will feature entertainment by the All-American Boys Choir, games and crafts, as well as the countdown to the lights. Honor or commemorate someone you love at the "Light up a Life" Ceremony. This annual event by the Corona Regional Medical Center Hospice and the Foundation for Community and Family Health raises funds to benefit Hospice patients and their families who may not be able to afford care and bereavement services. The Corona Public Library's annual Teen Talent Show will be held on Saturday, December 5th from 2-4 pm in the Library's Community Rooms (650 S. Main St.). Teens who sing, dance, play an instrument, or have other talents, either solo or in a group are invited to participate! The contest is open to all students in grades 7-12 and everyone is invited to attend. Entry forms will be available at the Adult Information Desk on Monday, November 9 and must be returned by Wednesday, December 2. The Metrolink Holiday Toy Express is pulling into the North Main Station (250 E. Blaine St) at 5 PM on Saturday, November 28th! This annual event in conjunction with the Spark of Love Toy Drive is a mobile celebration of the holidays and its arrival is always eagerly anticipated. Corona Firefighters will be there collecting unwrapped toys for children in our community so bring your family and an unwrapped toy for a truly moving holiday experience.
