The Parks and Community Services Department has eliminated the following programs:

The SPOT (After School Teen Program) ended on March 4th. Teens have the option of participating in the teen program at the PAL (Police Activities League) building at Sheridan Park.

Kids Camp (child care) will end on April 9, 2010. The Parks and Community Services Department will offer summer child care for kindergarten through 6th grade in the form of a 6-week day camp starting on June 28, 2010.

City tree trimming and tree removal will be limited to emergencies only.

The Summer Youth Basketball program was cancelled for the summer session.  The Department will continue to offer the Winter Boys and Girls Basketball program and other youth sports programs.

The number of summer swim lessons offered by the department has been reduced.  All aquatic classes and programs will be offered at City Park Pool and Auburndale pool.

Programs and services available for this summer will be listed in the Summer Recreation Program Guide which will be available beginning April 15, 2010 and can be retrieved by visiting the City's website.  Brochures are also available at our office in City Hall, second floor at 400 S.
